Projects
and Events
Does your
organisation have a special event, seminar or project that you need assistance
with? Perhaps your charity needs a
lend of chairs for a meeting, access to
advertising, people to help out with a conference/festival or even a
donation of T-Shirts for a childrens football team...as long as your request
is related to a charitable event or project you can include details of it
here. We are also interested in hearing from charities/NGO's involved with
development projects overseas.
Please send your
request, details of your event and charity/NGO information (with a logo) to admin@irelanddonates.com
and we will immediately include it here.
UNICEF
Ireland
“Time
to Shine”
- New fundraising initiative
About
UNICEF
UNICEF Ireland supports the work of the United Nations Children's Fund
(UNICEF) by raising funds for its programmes and increasing awareness of the
challenges facing the world's children. Working in more than 150 countries, UNICEF
is committed to finding the best and most cost effective ways to save
children's lives. Twenty million children’s lives have been saved by
UNICEF-provided vaccinations. Tens of millions more children have been able to
survive and lead healthier and happier lives with the support of UNICEF
programmes. Despite these successes, over nine million children still
die each year, and countless others remain trapped in a cycle of poverty and
inadequate healthcare that keeps them on the brink of survival. We need
your support to help save them.
Your
Time to Shine
Now more than ever funding is required to help care for the world’s
children. UNICEF aims to improve the lives of children through protecting them
from harm, curing them of disease, and providing them with food and the
opportunity to learn and reach their full potential.

Action for Life Foundation
Providing Services for
Children with Developmental Delay Autism and Special Needs
The
Action for Life Foundation is a non-profit organisation which is being set
up to provide services for children with developmental delay, autism and
special needs. The first phase of
their 4 year plan is to open a Pre-school which will cater for 20 children
from the age of 2 year olds to 5 year olds. It has been proven
that early, accurate diagnosis coupled with early intensive intervention
increases that child's opportunity for positive development and success.
Each child will have
their own individual education plan and this will ensure that each child
with developmental delay will have a tailored programme to meet their
individual needs and an education consultant will be appointed to oversee
the education programmes. Speech &
language and Occupational Therapy Consultants will also play a major role to
oversee the development of the children. They are actively fundraising to cover the cost of
setting up the pre-school and any donations would be of huge benefit.
The
Trustees of the Foundation, along with Gráinne McGeown who is heading up
this project are - John Mannion; Padraig Naughton; Michael Kilroy;
Kathleen Lyons; John McGuire; John Cleary and Ollie Turner. They are also
looking for a main sponsor to make Action for Life Foundation their charity
of the year and to support the fundraising events planned for the year ahead
both at local and national level.

information is available by contact Gráinne McGeown, General Manager on 087
